The initiation of the SPARKLE reading process reduces the risk of a delayed read-out by May 2024. The announcement confirms that Ascelia has completed identifying three new readers and the preparation work ahead of the actual reading process, which includes measures to reduce the risk of another set of high intra-reader variability. Compared with the first reading process, this is expected to be faster as all the study data is already captured and secured, which also enables a more efficient and continuous workflow for the readers. We expect an update regarding the reading process when Ascelia announces the Q4 results, which are scheduled for 9 February.
