Atria: Invests EUR 30m in restructuring of the Swedish production - Nordea

Atria has decided to invest EUR 30m in restructuring of the Swedish production. Production in Malmö will be moved to the plants in Sköllersta and Moheda in Sweden and to Hansted in Denmark. This is not a big surprise as Malmö is fairly old plant that is closing end of its technical life. The move can be completed in 2023 at the earliest and until then production will continue in Malmö. After the move, Atria aims to sell the factory building in Malmö. The company estimates EUR 3.5m annual savings from the restructuring. We view restructuring highly anticipated move and we do not expect any meaningful impact on consensus estimates. However, the move is well in line with Atria’s strategy as it should improve profitability in Sweden and lower climate footprint.
