Medivir (Q2 Review): SEK140m Raise Expands MIV-711 as Fostrox Case Strengthens - Redeye

Medivir raised SEK140m in a directed share issue in June at an attractive price point funding a new MIV-711 clinical programme in Legg-Calvé-Perthes (LCP) disease alongside the ongoing osteogenesis imperfecta study. This is an attractive indication with no competition and the potential for an RPD priority voucher (worth around USD200m). Externally, final phase III data from IMbrave251 confirmed that checkpoint inhibitors fail to improve survival in second-line liver cancer, reinforcing fostrox' opportunity with liver-directed chemotherapy. The controlled FLEX-HCC phase II study has enrolled the first patient is now recruiting towards a topline readout in H2 2027. We have updated our new Fair Value model including LCP. The Medivir share screens as “Attractively Priced”.
