Sivers Semiconductors: CHIPS-Act funding worth SEK118m – opening important doors - Redeye

Redeye comments on the two announcements about receiving USD6.0m and USD5.6m, respectively, from the CHIPS Act. The sums involved are meant only for the first year, and both fundings can be extended for two additional years. The funding awards are meant to accelerate lab-to-fab development of critical chip technology (electronic warfare and 5G/6G). This not only strengthens Sivers’ position in commercial use cases, but it opens the door to both the ‘communications’ side of Electronic Warfare, as well as the ‘sense and detect’ side. Partnering with companies like BAE Systems, Ericsson, and Raytheon not only opens the door to these but also adjacent players.
