Up in Asia despite renewed unrest in the Middle East

Asian stock markets are rising during this morning's ongoing trading despite the latest headlines from the Middle East once again creating a nervous sentiment. The region is dependent on energy from the Middle East, but investors currently seem to be shrugging off the concerns.

Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 was at the end of ongoing trading up 0.72 percent to 58,896.54. During the day, the index has moved within a range of as low as 0.36 percent and as high as 1.19 percent.

The broader Japanese Topix index rose 0.53 percent to 3,780.73. During the day, the index has moved within a range of as low as 0.40 percent and as high as 0.89 percent.
