At 3GPP RAN4#119 in Dalian in May 2026, the working group agreed to study digital beamforming for 6G millimetre wave — the trigger event Redeye had flagged. The shares moved ~30% on the day of BeammWave’s press release. The study begins at the next meeting in August; a Technical Report is due by Q2 2027.
