Oscar Properties approaches sustainability from three focus areas: (1) sustainable properties, (2) responsible enterprise and (3) responsibility as an employer. It aims to develop properties that will stand the test of time, both in terms of design as well as in terms of materials, contributing to a sustainable way of living. Additionally, Oscar Properties aims to obtain environmental certifications from LEED, BREEAM and Miljöbyggnad. In terms of becoming a responsible enterprise, the company works actively to promote ethical business practices and anti-corruption measures. Socially, Oscar Properties has a goal to have zero work-related injuries that can lead to sick leave, and it works proactively to ensure that its employees remain content, happy and healthy.

Risks and opportunities
The construction and real estate sector leaves carbon footprints through the entire value chain, including the production of materials as well as building and managing properties. Other risks stated by the company include social and governance issues such as health and safety, corruption, bribes and violations of human rights.
