Redeye views CMS’s proposed 2027 reimbursement rules as a step in the right direction. While the actual reimbursement rates remain largely unchanged, the key takeaway is the partial unbundling of OPPS codes, which represents progress towards a more appropriate reimbursement structure for scalp cooling. Although further improvements are still needed, we view this as a positive development and a constructive step in the ongoing reimbursement process.
