Redeye endorses Mentice appointing Frans Venker as its new CEO (effective 01 January 2025), some six months after current CEO Göran Malmberg announced his intention to retire. Given Mr Venker’s c25 years of experience at Philips, including managerial positions in cardiovascular areas and image-guided therapy, we believe he sports relevant expertise to lead Mentice (especially its push into products for daily clinical use). Further, his appointments spanned Europe, China, and Mentice’s most important market, North America. Lastly, his medtech industry background should give him a solid understanding and network in Mentice’s largest customer group, Medical Device Industry (MDI). Thus, we believe he is well-equipped to oversee Mentice’s continued global expansion.
