All in all, we continue to find support for a fair value of SEK 2.6-9.9 per share.

With a cash position of SEK 84m, there is a financial runway through 2024, but also a higher pressure to reach a licensing agreement soon. As previously announced, this lower outcome means that the funds will go to finance the completion of Phase 1 with NEX-22 and subsequent FDA meeting, preparation for Phase 1b with NEX-20, but no activities with NEX-18. This tighter roadmap, however, is more investor-friendly as it focuses on the core projects in the case, while the reduced runway increases the pressure on the company to reach some licensing agreement. In August, we learned that the clinical phase I study with NEX-20 confirmed a release profile of lenalidomide in different doses up to 21 days. We appreciate that the completed safety and tolerability data collection supports the project’s further development. Local reactions were observed in the area of injection with NEX-20. However, Nanexa also concludes that the reactions, which ranged from mild at the lower dose levels to moderate at higher doses, all subsided during the study period. 8/20/2021 7:23:25 AM - Nanexa: Q2’21 Report - ABG - Important events during and after the quarter<br>Important events during the quarter included the start of the first-in-human Ph I trial of NEX-18, where results have been expected during Q3’21. Due to a greater than expected impact from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, management indicate in the Q2 report today that enrolment has been slower than anticipated and that it has decided to add another study site in Sweden in addition to the previously communicated sites in Stockholm and Uppsala. With the future impact of the pandemic and the expected positive impact from study site additions difficult to predict, no precise new timeline was communicated at this time. During Q2 Nanexa also received a second investment from Applied Ventures of SEK 4.3m. There were also significant developments related to Nanexa’s IP position. A patent in China covering the manufacturing method, products that come out of it, and the use of PharmaShell®-coated drugs was granted in Q2, followed by South Korea in Q3, adding to the list of already granted countries that includes the US and Japan, with filings also having been made in the European Patent Office (intention to grant communicated), Canada, and India. Nanexa also brought suit agents a Colorado-based company utilizing an ALD tech platform to engineer thermostable, single-shot vaccines (see our note from 31.5.2021), with this process progressing as expected but with no other updated in the report.

4/12/2021 9:02:53 AM - Nanexa: Delayed study start at Uppsala site - Redeye - Nanexa announced today that, due to the Covid situation at Uppsala University Hospital, the study start at the trials Uppsala site has been delayed. However, the start at the site at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge remains unaffected as of today (start by end of April). Nanexa is now in dialogue with Karolinska to see if the hospital can take a larger share of the trial. While it is unfortunate that the readout could be delayed, it does not change our valuation at this stage.
