Permit for Viscaria granted, a major milestone
The Land and Envrionmental Court announced today that it has granted Copperstone's application for an environmental permit for the Viscaria mine. This marks a major milestone for the company, as it now has all the required permits for re-opening Viscaria. Given that the environmental permit is the hardest one to get, today's announcement significantly lowers the risk for the Viscaria project. The permit allows Copperstone to mine 3.6mt ore per annum, leaving a buffer to the current mine plan, which is at 3.0mtpa.
