Smart Eye today announced 35 new design wins worth SEK700m - a combined order of five different OEMs from a global tier-1. This was a follow-up order from the 24 design wins announced in March 2020, which should remove any previous doubts about the validity of those design wins. While Volvo Cars, GM, Porche and Audi were mentioned by name, a fifth "European mass-market OEM" (new OEM customer for SEYE) was also included. Redeye's best guess for this is Volkswagen, which would make this a major announcement. The first car models will enter production already in 2024, but the majority will go live next year.
