In 2022, the company renewed its sustainability strategy and will in the forthcoming years focus on: operational excellence, resource efficiency, securing the future, taking social responsibility and be an attractive employer. For example, actions taken within resource-efficiency have been reducing energy consumption, waste and carbon dioxide emissions. Socially, the company works proactively for employee health with different initiatives, including participating in a charity race during 2021. Moreover, the company has a goal of at least 40% women in management roles across the company (as opposed to the executive management team, which we highlight is 38% in the box below), to be compared with today’s 26.6%.
Risks and opportunities
The construction and real estate sector leaves carbon footprints through the entire value chain, including the production of materials, building and managing properties. Other risks that the company is exposed to include social and governance issues, such as health and safety, corruption and bribes.
